Developed specifically as an effective and intelligent web-based online learning tool the Intelligent Tutor provides learners with a range of options while giving individuals control over their own learning paths.
The Intelligent Tutor offers a highly interactive, engaging and accessible learning environment and accommodates a wide range of different learning styles. Not only does it adopt the online learning sessions according to the progress and performance of the students but it also allows them to learn according to their personal styles. This type of online learning provides a tremendous opportunity for tailoring learning to each user and providing pedagogical choices to learners that cannot be easily provided by a single instructor in a classroom or training session situation.
ILP-2, the latest version of the Intelligent Tutor provides a unique opportunity to use multiple representations of the same knowledge and frequently tests the learners on the knowledge they’ve acquired and interacts with the student while directing the learning process according to the student dynamic data.
The Student Model
Stores information that is specific to each individual student, tracks how well a student is performing on the material being taught and attempts to identify any misconceptions or difficulties in learning.
The Pedagogical Module
Controls when to review and present a new topic and which topic is to be presented using a teaching process which relies on the student model and session data so that the pedagogical decisions reflect the differing needs of each student.
The Communications Module
Represents the visual part of the ILP-2 and deals with the learner interaction and controls the dialogue and the screen layouts.
